• Create background paintings and color keys which will be used as references by the surfacing and lighting departments.
• Might create color scripts.
• Work closely with art director, production designer and directors.

• Strong artistic skills in design, painting, perspective and composition.
• Advanced software skills in Photoshop.
• In-depth knowledge of lighting principles and balance.
• Good understanding of volumes.
• Good understanding of cinematography and light staging.
• Understanding of layout and spacing.
• Background in art history.

Portfolio Tips:

• Candidates must have a good knowledge in drawing/painting.
• We would like to see in the portfolios painting/watercolor, diversity, nature, car, color, white/black, atmosphere, poetry

• Experience in traditional painting.
• Previous experience on feature films.

• French and/or English fluency is required.
• Good communication skills and ability to take notes and directions.
• Ability to work within a team, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Available or willing to relocate to Paris (remote work unavailable) .
• We favor European Union citizens or candidates with French work permit. The process of obtaining a visa being so complex and timeconsuming, only foreign candidates with a significative experience will be considered, for a selection of senior jobs.
