As part of a feature film project, Illumination Studios Paris is looking for a Hair & Fur Artist.

• Create grooms (hair, fur, feathers) for characters, environments, and props based on references and concepts, using our proprietary software.
• Work closely with the Modeling, Surfacing, Rigging, and CFX teams to achieve the desired look and ensure artistic and technical consistency.
• Deliver assets, ensure their proper integration into the pipeline, and communicate efficiently with downstream departments.
• Present work in dailies, participate in reviews, address feedback, and contribute to creative discussions.
• Manage multiple assets simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining the expected level of quality.

• Proven experience in grooming, with a strong portfolio (hair / fur / feathers).
• Excellent understanding of materials, volume, silhouette, and realism (or stylization, depending on project needs).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, autonomy, ability to self-evaluate, and to seek supervision when needed.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, a strong team spirit, and the ability to collaborate across departments.

• Previous experience in animation, visual effects and/or video game production in hair&fur departments.
• Experience in cartoon character grooming.

• French and/or English fluency is required.
• Available or willing to relocate to Paris (remote work unavailable).
• We favor European Union citizens or candidates with French work permit. We will not be able to obtain a visa for this position.
